Khaled Zaki at the Great Pyramids of Giza

24 October - 16 November 2024
Overview
"Khaled Zaki, an internationally acclaimed Egyptian sculptor, is known for blending ancient Egyptian statuary with contemporary reflections on society and technology. Drawing on his background in archaeology and sculpture, Zaki’s monumental works have been exhibited worldwide, from New York to Venice, with a focus on the evolution of human civilisation.

For #ForeverIsNowIV, Zaki presents ‘The Race’, an installation inspired by ancient Egyptian chariots. The work, set against the iconic pyramids, features horses in motion with scattered wheels, symbolising the passing of time and the complex relationship between human invention and nature. Through ‘The Race’, Zaki explores how technology, once revolutionary, evolves beyond its creators."
